Terms of Service for Household OS

Welcome to Household OS (the "App"), operated by As You Need LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our App, website, and associated services.

By creating an account, downloading the App, or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the App.

1. Eligibility and Age Requirements

To use this App and create a primary account (e.g., Household CEO), you must be at least 18 years of age, or the age of legal majority in your local jurisdiction, whichever is greater.

Minor Sub-Accounts: Primary account holders may create and manage sub-accounts for minors (children and teens) within their household. By doing so, you represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of the minor and explicitly consent to their use of the App under your supervision.
Account Responsibility: You are entirely responsible for all activity that occurs under your household account, including actions taken by any sub-accounts you authorize.

2. Account Registration and Security

Accuracy: You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and keep your household profile updated.
Security: You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials (including passwords and FaceID/biometric setups). You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.
Household Roles: The App allows you to designate roles (Parent, Roommate, Teen, Child). You are responsible for ensuring that you assign roles correctly, as they dictate privacy boundaries and data access within your household.

3. Third-Party Integrations

Household OS integrates with third-party platforms (such as Apple HealthKit for wellness tracking and Plaid for financial data) to provide a unified experience.

Financial Data: By connecting your bank accounts, you explicitly authorize us and our partners (e.g., Plaid) to access and transmit your financial data. We do not store your direct banking login credentials on our servers.
Third-Party Terms: Your use of these integrated features is also subject to the Terms of Service and Privacy Policies of those respective third parties.

4. Acceptable Use and Conduct

You agree not to use the App to:

Violate any applicable local, state, or federal laws.
Infringe upon the privacy or intellectual property rights of others.
Upload harmful code, viruses, or malware.
Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the App's infrastructure.
Sell, rent, or lease access to your Household OS account to outside parties.

5. Intellectual Property

Our Rights: As You Need LLC retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the App, including its design, code, graphics, and features.
Your Data: You retain ownership of all personal data, tasks, financial inputs, and family notes you upload to the App. By using the App, you grant us a secure, limited license to host and process this data solely to provide the service to you.

6. Subscriptions and Billing (If Applicable)

If you subscribe to a premium tier of Household OS, you authorize us (or our app store partners) to charge your payment method on a recurring basis.
You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellations will take effect at the end of your current billing cycle.

7. Disclaimers

"As Is" Service:The App is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Not Professional Advice: The financial tracking, wellness counters, and scheduling tools provided by the App are for organizational purposes only. They do not constitute professional financial, medical, or legal advice.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, As You Need LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, or data, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from your use of the App.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without notice or liability, if you breach these Terms or engage in conduct that harms the App or other users.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
